The Doom of Sarinax Prime

Let me tell you first about the tragic and bloody history of Sarinax.

Early Imperial records mention an orderly, civilised system comprising eight world, three of those inhabited by humans since Old Night. Situated on the bordes of the Segmenta Solar and Tempestus, the Crusade was quick to reach the Sarinax system.
When He came to Sarinax with the Legiones Astartes on his heels, Sarinax Prime, Secundus and Tertius were quickly brought to Compliance. And for over one hundred a fifty Terran standard years, it was good.

And so, when Horus the Warmaster turned His back upon the Emperor, thus fell the Eye of the Traitor upon Sarinax. It was only inevitable that war and devastation terror followed. Sarinax was not spared. Mostly due to its strategic location, Traitor and Loyalist alike, tried to lay claim on the fertile soil and rich resources of the Three Worlds.

Due to its relative proximity to Holy Terra, the Legio Custodes were quick to respond to the traitor incursion. With aid from loyalist elements from the Ultramarines Legion and extensive Imperial Army support, the forces loyal to the Emperor were pushing the traitors from the Word Bearers and Sons of Horus back.

Just when victory was in the Emperor’s grasp, death would turn the tables again.
The death of a world.
Even if war knows victors, they are never the likes of you and I. We toil under the sun, until death claims us. Hoping to live a full life in service of the Emperor. For the hapless folk living on Sarinax Secundus, it was no different until the war came to them.

In a last ditch effort to claim the planet for the Warmaster, a traitorous son of Lorgar conducted a fell ritual which I will not further detail, sacrificing billions of souls in service of the Dark Powers.
As billions died, the veil of reality tore asunder. The survivors of the Legio Custodes, under the command of Tribune Taric Iclesias, chose to stay behind on Sarinax Prime and what was left of Sarinax Secundus. Their valiant sacrifice allowed both civilian survivors and those of the loyalist legions to escape.

But not even the golden-clad Custodians could stem them tide. Sarinax Secundus was lost forever; pulled into the Warp itself. The rest of the Sarinax System was enveloped in a terrible Warp Storm. Daemonic entities spawning from the myriad tears and rips into reality itself feasting forever upon the doomed souls of the survivors. The Warp Storm has raged for over a hundred centuries but it seems that it is subsiding, slowly but surely. The Navigators never lie about this, nor do the Astropaths.

Stories of relics, riches and unspeakable heresies about Sarinax have crossed my ears more than once. Only to be claimed by the daring, the dauntless and the defiled. Who knows what those worlds still contain.
